Brad Hubbard

Brad does not spin. He does not scratch, lay down vinyl, or drop mad beats. Brad is not a DJ.

Brad is a mad scientist. Those closest to him are familiar with classic catchphrases like “Oh shit, don’t touch that!” and “Dude, you gotta check this thing out.” His love affair with lights came out of a realization that to the community and those around him, lighting was an invaluable asset and a field in need of rebirth. In an area dominated by power-hungry, expensive Par-cans and other forms of Incandescent Light, Brad takes a more elegant approach.

“The planning meetings are the best,” he says, “when we get together before an event to talk about what each group needs, and what I have. The sound guys are talking thousands of watts, and I’m in the hundreds. No one believes you can light up an entire outdoor event on 300 watts total.”

Odds are you've never seen lights like these. Solid-state emitters and high-efficiency lighting are his trademarks, with clever electronics thrown in for good measure and the added “visual distinction” that sets apart a show lit by Brad from any other. Low cost, low heat, low power: high impact.
