It was the twilight hours of the Ming Dynasty and the only comfort for the mystic\'s troubled mind came in the form of sputtering torches that cast ghostly shadows across the stones of the hall. Who was this ninja council? What did they hope to gain from opposing the imperial regime? Who were they to think they could effect change? Lost in his brooding, he almost failed to notice... a movement... a slight shift in the shadows. His eyes darted to the source of the movement just in time to see an arrow flew past his head to implant itself in the wall. Startled at first, he realized that the arrow had intentionally missed and carried with it a message. Curiosity overcame fear as he removed the parchment and snapped it open. His concern was valid. The Ninja Council had moved on Bejing and taken over the Imperial Palace known as The Forbidden City.
