DJ HYJYNX [OrangeKids, Ninja Skillz]

BIO:

HYJYNX traces his DJ beginnings all the way back to elementary school, when he got hooked on the scratching & sampling talents of DJ Jazzy Jeff. He began experimenting with his parents' Righteous Brothers & Beatles records, but somehow it just didn't sound right. HYJYNX went to his first party in Columbus, Ohio in March 1999; upon witnessing Scott Henry & Terry Mullan behind the decks he instantly knew where he belonged! He quickly became a regular at local record shops & dedicated all his energy to mastering the art of mixing, on a pair of borrowed 1200s. Braving the unknown & determined to pursue his artistic dreams full force, the dj left behind his native Ohio in March 2001 for the endless opportunities awaiting him in Los Angeles. Now affiliated with the OrangeKids & Ninja Skillz Music; HYJYNX has performed at a multitude of diverse events all over California... ranging from dance clubs & art shows to street faires & outdoor music galas. In August 2002 & 2003, he performed at the legendary Burning Man Arts Festival in Black Rock City, Nevada. His smooth blends of dark progressive trance & breakbeats constantly mesmerizes crowds, & the driving momentum of his music transforms dancefloors into pure energy. By adding live vocals to his mixing, he truly sets himself apart from the pack. Now stepping into the world of music production, HYJYNX has begun writing his own tracks as well as remixing, scoring films, & continuing vocal & guitar work both solo & with other local musicians. To date he has collaborated & performed with Jupiter, George Sarah & his string trio, Billy Close & MASS Ensemble, Suspender, & Pyrotec.
