In 1987 Michael Insane began his love affair with turntables and music. He was in the sixth grade. Inspired by his older brother, Michael began devoting his time to the DJ craft. When Michael arrived in high school Hip-Hop was the craze but a new tune tickled his ear. He heard the banging rage of techno music and he became addicted. Since then he has progressed through many different genres, always finding his way back to the energetic grinding of techno music.
Michael Insane’s other love is the dreamscape that is trance. It was dubbed “Fu Fu Trance†by his peers in Northern California and it became Michael’s new voice. Mixing symphonies of electronic sounds with legendary Disney storybooks such as “Alice in Wonderland†and “Sleeping Beauty†became Michael’s trademarks during the age of epic trance.
With so many genres sliding through his fingers the best way to describe Michael Insane’s sets is unpredictable. Michael has come to love the booty shaking fever of Breaks. It’s energy reminds him of techno but it’s melodies ring of great trance. Sprinkle in some funky beats and it’s an instant crowd favorite. Just keep on your toes because you never know what’s coming next.
