Native Alien is hosting the 2nd Annual Summertime-Pool-Party-Camping-Fiesta at the Rancho Agua Caliente Resort. This year’s event is called: Contact!

Enjoy camping amongst the oak trees with your friends on a private 800 acre eco-resort. Relax in the 108 degree hot springs tub and roman baths and splash in the cool Olympic size swimming pool. Listen to music played by your favorite DJs, and dance poolside under the sun and stars. Join us for an adventure!

In May of 1929, construction of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange building was nearing completion. Its designers and architects knew that once doors opened for trading, they might not be able to enjoy the building recreationally. Plans were made. A solar eclipse was occurring elsewhere in the world and it seemed like as good reason as any to celebrate. Although Prohibition was in full effect, the Gallery of the building was set to be transformed into a speakeasy.

One of the invited guests was a mischievous filmmaker named Nathaniel Hornblower who was also a heavy investor in Nikola Tesla. He had accumulated some early versions of Tesla's inventions for use as special effects in his movies, and he had the unfortunate habit of using them recklessly for his own personal entertainment. He urged those running the speakeasy to name it "Tesla's Lair" for the night, and he was determined to demonstrate Tesla's machines at the exact moment the solar eclipse was happening elsewhere in the world. LIB has always been about discovering and enacting a different way of living. A way that is more in touch with the earth, with each other, and with ourselves. As the pace of change continues to accelerate all around us, and old ways of thinking begin to reach their logical and useful ends, LIB continues to expand its spiritual and educational aspects so that we, as a community, may boldly embrace and lead the way into this new world. The Temple of Consciousness will be bigger than ever this year and will include inspiring new structures for the yoga and meditation area, as well as the beautiful area for speakers and workshops in the heart of the Temple. At the same time, we have a music and performance lineup brewing (scheduled to be released in March) that could be our best yet and is sure to awaken the celebration of dance that we hold so dear.  read more »
